Sagestone builds single-family homes in The Ledges, St. George, Washington, Ivins, Santa Clara and Hurricane. Most clients own a lot or are buying one and want one company to handle the house from design through warranty.
Every home goes through the same six phases, from contract signing to the end of the warranty year. You can follow each one in Buildertrend. See the process.
Site work is priced before design starts. JMI does its own excavation, which is where the budget on a sloped or rocky lot usually moves.
The company behind it
Part of JMI.
JMI started in St. George as a lumber company and grew into sand and gravel, concrete, construction, development and commercial real estate. The Jennings family has run it the whole way.
Today it includes JMI Constructors, a general contractor that builds in seven western states, and JMI Group, which handles commercial real estate and property management. Sagestone is the part of the company that builds homes.

LB Jennings
Came to St. George in the mid-1930s and started J&J Lumber Company.
Leon Jennings
Took over the business in the 1950s.
Mans and Gilbert Jennings
Brothers who ran the company together, with Mans as president.
